Busay Falls is a popular day trip destination for local tourists on weekends especially during the hot summer months of March, April, and May. It is tucked away in a forested mountain at the quaint town of Malilipot in Albay. The seven-tiered falls are about 5 kilometers from Tabaco City proper, 20 kilometers north of Legaspi City and is easily accessible by both private and public transport. It is considered one of the highest waterfalls in the country descending in stages from a height of 250 meters cascading into seven small pools.

The water plunges approximately 91 meters from its highest point, and the last 40-meter cascade drops to a small and shallow pool which is the most popular among the seven falls. – Source

Tucked in the rugged fastnesses of Mt. Busay is Busay Falls with its seven cascades. It’s a popular destination for locals who flock to this refreshing wonder especially during weekends and holidays. It is said to stretch for 250 meters total with the highest at 91 meters while the popular spot, the last cascade is 40 meters high emptying into a shallow pool where most people swim.

We just stayed for a few minutes but its possible to go up and explore the rest of the waterfalls for a great adventure. Just be careful though as there are challenging parts with some steep portions.

Busay Falls is around 20 kilometers from Legazpi City. Along the highway in Malilipot is a road sign where you need to turn left. Just follow the road till you get to the parking area and takes less than five minutes. There is a token fee for the parking. –  Source

Busay Falls is a multi-tiered waterfalls, that means there are other falls aside from the main falls. So if you’re adventurous enough, you can hike to the other waterfalls. The trail going to the other falls begins at the entrance gate. You can also hire a guide if you don’t want to get lost. Just pay from 50 to 100 pesos for the guide.  The 2nd falls of Busay is located just about 15 minutes hike away from the main falls.  And the 3rd and the 4th falls are just a few meters away from each other. The 3rd falls is about 15 to 20 minutes hike from the 2nd falls while the 4th falls is just a few meters from the 3rd falls.  The 5th, 6th and 7th falls are a bit farther from the other falls so you’ll need at least the whole day if you really want to explore the 7 waterfalls. – Source
